What Does It Cost? The Government is consulting on changes to the battery and packaging regulations designed to reduce red tape. The proposed changes include removing the obligation on schemes to have operational plans and allowing, changing the rules on who can sign off battery data reports and removing the obligation for battery recyclers to obtain independent audit reports. The consultation runs until 22 May and can be found. Government sets 2015 WEEE Targets. 2014 WEEE target has been met.
